Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, HE Mr. Edgars Rinkēvičs. The meeting organized by the Embassy of Spain in Latvia focused on issues on the CELAC-EU agenda. The Ambassador thanked Mr. Rinkēvičs for his kind words about his country and about Cuba's dialogue with the EU, in the framework of the forthcoming visit of Minister Josep Borrell to Havana.
As part of her activities in Riga, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, was received by H.E. Mr. Andžejs Viļumsons, Under-Secretary of State and Political Director of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the exchange, the Ambassador referred to Cuban news and the impact of the US blockade on the daily life of the people, at which time she thanked Latvia for its support of Cuba against the US embargo, as a Member State of the European Union.
