Cuban Minister of Culture denounces the Blockade in a high level virtual event on Culture and Sustainable Development of the UN.

New York, May 21st. - In addition to the serious effects caused by the current crisis, Cuba has had to face the application and tightening of the United States blockade. Only in 2020, the culture sector reported damages and losses in the amount of 14 million 463 thousand 300 dollars, as a result of this policy, denounced today the Minister of Culture Alpidio Alonso Grau, at the high-level event on Culture and Sustainable Development that took place at the United Nations.

Director for Latin America of the Estonian Foreign Ministry holds a meeting with the head of mission a.i of Cuba.

Helsinki, May 13th.- Director for the Middle East, Africa and Latin America of the Estonian Chancellery, H.E. Ms. Ingrid Amer, held this morning, a fruitful virtual exchange with the Charge D’Affaires a.i of Cuba in Finland and the Baltic countries, Mr. Víctor Manuel Rodríguez Etcheverry.

During the meeting, both diplomats highlighted the positive progress in bilateral ties between the Greater Caribbean Antilles and the Baltic country, even in times of a global pandemic.
