We live in a time when most countries in Europe choose to subordinate themselves unconditionally in their effort to join the club of the strongest. Where we see ruling politicians abandon any semblance of autonomy and where popular opinion is above all somewhat managed, manipulated or collapsed. Existential threats should preferably be hidden in the noise of militarism and rearmament.
Hypocrisy and self-righteousness have no limits, but the price is the cynicism and hopelessness that spread throughout society.
