UK’s NEU and CSC launch a joint appeal to raise funds and supplies for Cuban schools

The National Education Union and the Cuba Solidarity Campaign in the UK launch a joint appeal to raise funds and supplies for schools in the Caribbean country.

London, 1 February 2022- The National Education Union (NEU) and the Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) in the United Kingdom launched the Viva la Educación initiative to raise funds and supplies for Cuban schools today.

London, January 21st. The Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Bárbara Montalvo Álvarez, was received by Professor Adam Habib, director of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the headquarters of that institution of higher learning.

London, 11 November- Campaigners and unions are right to call for an affordable, universal and comprehensive transport system as the only way to cut carbon emissions from travel.

The fact is that without planned, co-ordinated responses at governmental and intergovernmental level with the powers to enforce them, we will continue hurtling towards climate catastrophe while politicians continue talking.

London, 10 November. - British academic Antoni Kapcia, founder of the Centre for Research on Cuba at the University of Nottingham, today gave an online conference on the figure of Raúl Castro Ruz, under the title Understanding Raúl Castro is to understand the whole Cuba Revolution. The event is part of a series of seminars organized by the International Institute for the Study of Cuba, attached to the University of Buckingham.
