Cuban Ambassador pays Courtesy Call to Mayor of Francistown.

As part of the program of activities developed in an official visit to the City of Francistown, Botswana, H.E. Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra pays a Courtesy Call to Her Worship, Ms. Sylvia Tabitha Muzila, the Mayor.

They talk about the excellent bilateral relations, established almost 40 years ago.

Her Worship expresses gratitude for the presence and work of Cuban health professionals in Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, saving lives and preventing illness of Botswana people.

Ambassador welcomes a great friend of Cuba

H.E. the Ambassador Patricia L. Pego Guerra meets with Michael Dingake, in Gaborone.

Since the time he fought Apartheid with Nelson Mandela, Dingake is a close friend of Cuba and our people.

He is also an admirer of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

It is always a pleasure to have him in the premises of the Embassy.

On behalf of the Cuban government and people, the Embassy of Cuba in Gaborone, conveys its sincere and deepest condolences for the physical departure of Botswana former president and founding father Sir Quett Ketumile Masire at Aged 91.

He leaves a legacy of struggle against colonialism and apartheid.

Cuban Ambassador to Botswana presents Letters of Credence as Special Representative to SADC

H.E. Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, presented her Letters of Credence as Special Representative of Cuba to the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The Executive Secretary of the organization, based in Gaborone, Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax, offered her a pleasant welcome and highlighted the historical links of the Island with SADC, both at regional level and bilaterally, with its member nations.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Botswana, H.E. Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, held a pleasant meeting with Madam Speaker of the National Assembly, Honorable Gladys Kokorwe, where they talked about the positive results of the visit to Cuba of the parliamentary delegation, led by her, from April 23rd to 28th.
