Cuban Ambassador to Botswana meets the Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology.

The Cuban Ambassador, Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, held a meeting with Hon. Dr. Alfred Madigele, Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology.

They discussed issues of common interest on bilateral academic and scientific exchanges, as well as about the cooperation offered by Cuba to Botswana in Higher Education.

The meeting took place in a cordial and respectful atmosphere.

In Botswana, photo exhibition “Fidel at 90”.

Cuban Ambassador, Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, declared officially open the exhibition “Fidel at 90: rarely known photos”, in the Art Gallery of the Botswana National Museum, where it will stay during a month.

Cuban residents in Botswana celebrate First National Meeting and constitutes Association

The Cuban Embassy, in Gaborone, was the venue for the First National Meeting of Cuban Residents in Botswana, with the attendance of approximately 50 people, who live in that African country, whether in a permanent or temporal base, their children, spouses, and friends, who collectively agreed to constitute the Association of Cuban Residents in Botswana “Cuba – Botswana”, united on the will to respect and maintain alive their values, traditions and roots.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Botswana, H.E. Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Honorable Eric Molale.

The parties highlighted the excellent grade of the bilateral relations, with cooperation in Health, Sports and Higher Education, as well as the political will to explore new possible areas of assistance in benefit of both peoples.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Botswana, H.E. Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, paid a courtesy call to Madam Speaker of the National Assembly, Honorable Gladys Kokorwe.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their political will to consolidate the existing parliamentary bonds between the two nations, talked about the excellent level of the bilateral relations and ratified the reciprocal interest to continue strengthening them in the sectors of Health, Sports and Higher Education.
