Cuban Ambassador participates in the Annual Diplomatic Cocktail hosted by the Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism.

Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles Martha Hernandez Caneiro and Minister Counsellor Tomas Mendez Parra attended the Annual Diplomatic Cocktail hosted by the Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism Sylvestre Radegonde.

In attendance were President Wavel Ramkalawan, Speaker of the National Assembly Roger Mancienne, Chief of Defence Forces Brigadier Michael Rosette, Ministers, members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps and officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs, among other guests.

Cuban President emphasizes unity and integration in the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States

Buenos Aires, Jan 25 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel considered that the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) is living in different times today, marked by unity and integration from diversity.

During an interview with Argentine YouTuber Daniel Devita, the leader pointed out the changes experienced by the regional bloc as a result of the role of Mexico and Argentina, as well as the electoral victories of the presidents of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

CELAC: Nine years of a historic peace proclamation

A few days away from the ninth anniversary of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, adopted by CELAC in Cuba, the region moves forward today with that premise as its bulwark.

On January 29, 2014, with Havana as host and the presence of several heads of state from the 33 countries of the area, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) raised its voice and left on this side of the world a document that has become a permanent commitment to peace and stability in the region.

Cuba and Seychelles continue to collaborate in the training of human resources

We bid farewell at the Cuban Embassy to the Seychellois student Suaad Nadir Elnnaeem, who will soon travel to our country to study medicine, through the scholarship program developed by the Cuban government since the early years of the Revolution.

This solidarity collaboration is an example of what can be done by a nation poor in economic resources, but rich in human capital and with the necessary political will to help other peoples.

We wish Suaad every success and trust that when he concludes his studies he will be able to contribute to the health system of Seychelles.
