With the energy of Moncada, to leave scarcities behind and head for well-being

Cuban revolutionaries today invoke the perseverance of those young men who in July 1953, led by the lawyer Fidel Castro, assaulted two of the main military fortresses, to unleash the struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.

The actions did not culminate in military success, but after the bloody repression, the young people of the generation of the centenary of the birth of José Martí regrouped forces and outlined objectives, until reaching the national insurrection and triumph.

Cuban Mision in Seychelles celebrates Moncada’s anniversary

Cubans, Seychellois and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Seychelles accompanied the Cuban Mission at the commemoration of the 69th Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, held at the Cuban Embassy in Victoria.

In her speech, the Cuban ambassador highlighted the unwavering spirit of struggle and victory of the Generation, who under the leadership of Fidel Castro, led the 26th of July and marked the way to achieve our definitive independence with the triumph of the Revolution on January 1st., 1959.

Mandela: Love and gratitude for Cuba

"The Cuban people occupy a special place in the hearts of the peoples of Africa," said Nelson Mandela, the anti-apartheid fighter and architect of reconciliation in South Africa, during his visit to our country in 1991.

For Cuba, it was a great honor to be among the first nations to be visited by the man who three years later would become the first Black president of South Africa, and who described the Cuban Revolution as a source of inspiration for all peace-loving peoples.

A Code consistent with the development of the family

In the twenty-fifth, and latest, draft version of the Family Code, 47.93% of the content was modified, including the transitory and final provisions; and new elements were incorporated, representing 2.06%, reported the Minister of Justice Oscar Silvera Martinez.

In a videoconference of the Drafting Commission of the Family Code with the deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP), the Minister highlighted the real impact the opinion of the people had in this consultation process, which he described as "transparent and effective".
