Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

On February 14, 2024, diplomatic and consular relations were established between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Korea, through an exchange of Diplomatic Notes carried out between the Permanent Representations of both countries to the United Nations, in New York.

Lusaka, January 26, 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba in Zambia, Marileydis Dueñas Morales participated in the “Annual Greeting to the Diplomatic Corps” sponsored by the President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema.

Within the framework of the activity, held this year at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka, the Cuban Head of Mission had the opportunity to greet and exchange a few brief words with the leader of the African nation (EmbaCuba Zambia).

UNIP participated in the VII Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, in South Africa.

Lusaka, January 15, 2024. The president of the United National Independence Party of Zambia,  (UNIP), Bishop Trevor Mwamba, was present at the VII African Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba held in the city of Mbombela, South Africa from January 15 to 17, whose conference rose determined to continue expanding Africa's unwavering support and solidarity with Cuba.

Within the framework of that event, Mr. Mwamba had a cordial exchange with the comrade Fernando Gonzalez Llort, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), (EmbacubaZambia).
