The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Kuwait, Alan Pérez Torres, affirmed that Cuban-Kuwaiti relations are characterized by a distinguished level of cooperation and understanding, based on more than 50 years of friendship. He expressed his country's aspiration to expand the horizons of partnership in vital sectors, most notably health, energy, tourism, and biotechnology.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the Executive Order issued by the White House on May 1st, 2026, which tightens, to unprecedented and extreme levels, the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
Kuwait, May 5: The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the State of Kuwait, Alain Pérez Torres, held a cordial and constructive meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al Sabah, at the Bayan Palace.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the strong state of bilateral relations, which have historically been characterized by mutual respect, cooperation, and a longstanding friendship that has remained unbroken since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
We firmly reject the recent unilateral coercive measures adopted by the #UnitedStates government. These actions demonstrate an intention to impose, once again, collective punishment on the Cuban people.
It is no coincidence that these measures were announced on May 1, the very day that millions of Cubans take to the streets to denounce the US blockade and the energy siege.
Kuwait, April 23: The Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs of the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma, received the Cuban Ambassador, Alain Pérez Torres. During the fruitful meeting, both agreed on the existing opportunities for cooperation in the field of sports.
