Assistant Minister for International Organizations Receives Cuban Ambassador

Kuwait, June 22: The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alain Pérez Torres, was received by His Excellency Sadiq M. S. Marafi, Assistant Minister for International Organizations at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral ties between the two countries in the multilateral sphere and described them as positive. For his part, the Cuban diplomat briefed His Excellency Ambassador Sadiq on the situation in Cuba as a result of the sanctions imposed by the United States.

I was sharp waiting for the green light, but I’m amazing about the level of attendance of this meeting.

I really appreciate your attendance and your courageous in the midst of this very slanderous crusade, witch hunt just launched against the progressive movement, against the social movement.

You can count on our full loyalty to the special bonds between the American people and the Cuban people for the sake of the American people and the Cuban people.

We highly value the leadership of the People’s Republic of China in defending international peace and security, observance of international law; preservation, strengthening and appropriate reform of the United Nations Organization, particularly democratization, transparency and effectiveness of the Security Council and empowerment of the General Assembly; as well as in building a multilateral international order, based on sovereign, fair and democratic equality.
