Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba
On December 10, 2025, US military forces rapelled onto an oil tanker while it sailed in international waters in the Caribbean Sea, off the Venezuelan coasts.
Cuba is strengthening its mechanisms for preventing and combating illicit drug use and trafficking, maintaining a zero tolerance policy and a commitment to preventing the country from being used as a storage, transit, or destination point for narcotics.
The exaggerated and aggressive military presence of the United States in the region constitutes a threat against Latin America and the Caribbean as a whole.
With the encouragement of the Secretary of State, the main and immediate target is the violent overthrow of the government of Venezuela through the use of U.S. military force, an extremely dangerous and irresponsible action with unpredictable and incalculable consequences.
Kuwait, November 9: The Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, H.E. Mr. Waleed Al-Bahar, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Kuwait, Alain Pérez Torres, during his visit to the institution.
The meeting confirmed the willingness of both parties to continue collaborating. For his part, the Cuban diplomat highlighted and expressed his gratitude for the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development's participation in projects with a high social impact in Cuba.
