Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia met with the Foreign Policy Advisor to the Mongolian President

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met yesterday at the State Palace with Mr. Odbayar Erdenetsogt, Advisor on Foreign Policy to the President of the country.

The Cuban Ambassador delivered a letter from the President of Cuba to the Head of State of Mongolia, thanking him, among other things, for his kind message on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and the advent of the new year.

The International Tourism Fair of Cuba, FITCuba 2024, from May 2 to 5, in the Jardines del Rey keys in northern Cuba

The XLII International Tourism Fair of Cuba FITCuba 2024 will take place in the Jardines del Rey keys,  north of the central province of Ciego de Ávila, the island's second sun and beach destination and one of the most promising in the Caribbean. The Fair will be dedicated to Latin America and the Caribbean.

FITCuba 2023 in Havana, one the 7 Wonder Cities of the World, was attended by  5,000 professionals from the travel sector, more than 570 businessmen and representatives of 51 airlines.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

On February 14, 2024, the diplomatic and consular relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Korea were established through an exchange of Diplomatic Notes between the Permanent Representations of both countries to the United Nations in New York.

The establishment of official relations between the two countries was carried out in conformity with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, the International Law and in accordance with the spirit and norms established in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961.

Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia met with the Director General of the Americas, Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met at the Foreign Ministry with the Director General of the Department for the Americas, Middle East and Africa, Mr. Anand Amgalan.

They discussed bilateral and multilateral issues of interest. They reviewed the state of the relations, the actions in progress and those that could be carried out to continue developing them.

They also exchanged about the celebration next year in 2025 of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the friendly diplomatic relations between both countries.

United States: Unilateral designation of States as Sponsors of Terrorism negatively impact human rights, warn UN experts

GENEVA (8 February 2024) – UN experts* today urged the United States to review its domestic framework that triggers specific sanctions against States designated as Sponsors of Terrorism (SST).

Currently four countries – the Republic of Cuba, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPR Korea), the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Syrian Arab Republic – figure on this U.S. Department of State list, with additional restrictions imposed on them because of the designation.
