Chargé d'Affaires a.i. attends the celebration of the 212th anniversary of Venezuela's independence

Canberra, 5 July, 2023. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in the Commonwealth of Australia attended the event organized by the Venezuelan Embassy in this capital on the occasion of the 212th anniversary of Venezuela's independence.

During the celebration, the film "El Libertador" was screened, a film with excellent performances in which the late Cuban actor Manuel Porto deserves special mention.

Southern Cross Brigade 40th Anniversary

Canberra, 28 June, 2023. The Southern Cross Brigade 40th Anniversary will run from 28 December 2023 until 20 January 2024 (inclusive), a total of 24 days. Highlights include:

·      28 December 2023 until 2 January 2024 - Stay at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp (the traditional home of solidarity brigades) for a range of educational and other activities.

·      1 January 2024 - Attend the Gala of the National Ballet of Cuba (Havana) dedicated to the anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

Cuban Ambassador in Australia held a friendly meeting with the High Commissioner of Pakistan

Canberra, 26 June, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador in Australia held a friendly meeting with the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Commonwealth of Australia, Zahid Hafeez CHAUDHRI. The meeting was an opportunity to express gratitude for that country's permanent rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba, as well as to convey the greetings of the Cuban authorities.

Cuban Ambassador and Consul exchange with Cubans living in Sydney.

Sydney, June 25, 2023. This afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia and the official in charge of consular affairs in this geography, exchanged with Cubans resident in Sydney. The exchange took place in the framework of a meeting of compatriots, to share cultural values of our nation. During the activity, the officials had the opportunity to advise the Cuban community in Sydney on the new measures adopted by the Cuban Government, which favor residents abroad.

Cuban Ambassador participates in exchange with Australian Ambassador for First Nation People's Affairs Justin Mohamed

Canberra, June 23, 2023. At the headquarters of the Australian Foreign Ministry, a meeting was held between Ambassador Justin Mohamed, appointed to deal with issues related to Australia's native peoples, and the ambassadors representing Latin American countries in Australia. The meeting served to exchange experiences on the progress made by Latin American countries regarding the participation of native peoples in the political and social sphere, as well as to plan future areas of cooperation and cultural exchange.
