Solidarity aid with medical supplies sent from Australia to Cuba

Canberra, October 13, 2021- A donation with medical supplies to Cuba left by air from the city of Brisbane, capital of the state of Queensland, as part of a solidarity campaign towards the island developed in the Australian territory.

Humanitarian aid, consisting of more than 26,000 syringes and needles, expendable material, multivitamins, nutritional supplements and other medical supplies, will arrive in Cuba in the next few days to contribute to the country's efforts to confront Covid-19 and help with the vaccination campaign.

Australian Foreign Minister receives Cuban ambassador

Canberra, June 15, 2021.- The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Marise Payne, received the Cuban ambassador Ariel Lorenzo Rodríguez on Tuesday afternoon.

During the cordial meeting, they exchanged on the current state of bilateral relations and their development possibilities in sectors such as health, biotechnology, mining and energy as well as the existing potential to promote triangular cooperation projects for the benefit of the Pacific Small Island Developing States.

Bridges of Love with Cuba also from Australia

Canberra, May 31, 2021. - For second consecutive time, several Australian cities joined the international campaign "Bridges of Love" for the end of the unjust and inhuman blockade of the United States against the well-being of the Cuban people.

This May 30, members and collaborators of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society organized actions and rallies in Brisbane, Perth and Canberra where they demanded the lifting of the numerous sanctions that weigh on Cuba, even in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic.

Solidarity with Cuba from the Australian capital

Canberra, April 19th, 2021. - On Saturday, April 17th , a solidarity event with Cuba was held in the Australian capital, as part of the efforts of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Association (ACFS) to continue supporting the Cuban people in the midst of the pandemic and the unprecedented escalation of the blockade policy against the island by the United States government.
