Fundraising in Australia to help Cuba in the fight against Covid-19

Canberra, May 25th - The Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) launched a national campaign to raise funds with the aim of supporting Cuba in the fight against Covid-19, at a time when the United States government is intensifying its policy of sanctions and blockade towards the island.

Australian national radio station dedicates program to the work of Cuban medical personnel around the world

Canberra, May 8, 2020.- In its stellar broadcast last Thursday, the Australian public broadcasting media, ABC (Australia Broadcasting Corporation), dedicated an interview program about the Cuban medical cooperation in the world on its national radio space.  Under the title “Cuban doctors are battling COVID-19 around the globe”, Australian journalist Jonathan Green had Professor John Kirk, from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, as a special guest on his program.

Cuban Embassy in Australia celebrates the 61st anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

Canberra, February 26, 2020 - The Cuban Embassy in Australia commemorated the 61st anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution at a reception held in the city of Canberra. Federal parliamentarians, representatives of the Foreign Ministry, members of the accredited diplomatic corps, businessmen, Cuban residents and a representation of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Association attended the event.
