Havana, July 6. Her Excellency Sara Meymand presented to President Miguel Díaz-Canel the Letters of Credence that accredit her as the new ambassador of New Zealand to Cuba.
Meymand, who is based in Mexico, held important meetings during her visit to the island.
Undoubtedly, her preparation and energy will contribute to the strengthening of our relations.

At the invitation of the Right Honorable Dame Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, and Dr. Richard Davis, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and his wife Dalila Vázquez attended a dinner at Government House to celebrate Matariki, the Maori New Year, which for the first time is an official holiday.

Wellington, June 12. Members of solidarity groups with Cuba visited the Embassy this Sunday to share ideas and coordinate future actions, including the celebration of July 26.
