The Diplomatic Corps team wins the Friendship Football Cup.

Wellington, March 20. The Diplomatic Corps team won the Football Friendship Cup, beating the Wellington City Council team, led by Mayor Andy Foster. The Ambassador of Cuba, Edgardo Valdés, received the trophy on behalf of the winners.

With this victory, the representatives of the Diplomatic Corps maintained their unbeaten record in these friendly events. We thank everyone for a great game and a beautiful morning of fun and friendship.

Cuba ratifies support for peace and the Charter of the United Nations.

Havana. March 8. President Miguel Diaz-Canel affirmed that "Cuba firmly and consistently defends International Law, the Charter of the United Nations and the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, which was signed by the Heads of State and Government in Havana, in 2014.

He added that "We will continue to advocate for a serious, constructive and realistic diplomatic solution to the current crisis in Europe, by peaceful means that guarantee the security and sovereignty of all."

Wellington, December 15. As we had previously announced, from today until March the Cuban Embassy in New Zealand will be temporarily closed.

We celebrated the anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the Cook Islands.

Wellington, December 7. A joint celebration organized between the Cuban Embassy and the High Commissioner of the Cook Islands, H.E. Elizabeth Wright-Koteka, marked 19 years of friendly diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In the presence of Ambassadors and High Commissioners from the Pacific and Latin America, as well as representatives of the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Cuban Ambassador reiterated Cuba's willingness to continue cooperating with the islands.
