Strengthening South-South Cooperation for the Elimination of the Transmission of HIV-AIDS and Syphilis from Mother to Child

The joint launch by UNICEF and Thailand of a South-South cooperation initiative for the Elimination of the Transmission of HIV-AIDS and Syphilis from Mother to Child was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

#Cuba and #Tailandia were the first and second countries in the world, in 2015 and 2016 respectively, to be validated by the World Health Organization (WHO) in this matter.

Belize and Cuba renew medical agreement

The continued cooperation between Belize and Cuba in the health sector was renewed on Wednesday, February 27th, at a signing ceremony in the capital city of Belmopan. The renewal of the agreement is to extend the presence of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Belize that not only benefits Belizeans nationwide but strengthens and develops the health system in Belize. Signing on behalf of the Government of Belize was Minister of Health Honourable Pablo Marin, while Ambassador Lisette Perez signed on behalf of Cuba.

Cuba and Malaysia explore new possibilities for collaboration

Kuala Lumpur, February 27 - The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, paid a courtesy call to the Chief  Executive Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation (SME Corporation), Mr. Noor Azmi Mar Said.

During the meeting Mr. Azmi explained about his organization's work to contribute to the growth of the Malaysian economy. The ambassador thanked the information and expressed the interest of Cuba to learn more about the Malaysian experience in that sector, for which Mr Azmi expressed his availability.

Socialist MP visits the Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Hague, February 25, 2019. Third Secretary of the Cuban Mission in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Katia Aruca Chaple, received in the morning of Thuresday February 21st  Bas van der Voort, a member of the Socialist Party and (SP) who resides in the municipality of Oos.

During the positive meeting, a number of current issues were discussed, as well  the broad possibilities for coordinating a new visit  Bas to Cuba.
