Cuban professor gave a Master Lecture at event on Hellenism, Greece

Athens, May 18. The Dra Elina Miranda Cancela, Professor of philology and classical tradition, from the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana, gave a keynote speech that opened in Athens, the event entitled "One hundred years of dialogue, Latin American approaches to Hellenism", organized by The Gennadius Library of The American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece from 18 to 20 May.

On this morning, the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, was interviewed by journalist Matthew Myanplu, director and producer of private radio-television channel PRIME FM. The interview, which falls within the framework of activities to celebrate Africa Day, was broadcast live simultaneously on radio through the frequency 105.5 FM, television and digital channel on the Internet.

Minister of Agriculture met the Cuban Ambassador

Banjul, May 15, 2017. The Minister of Agriculture of The Gambia, Hon. Omar A. Jallow, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Lázaro Herrera Martínez, on Thursday
morning, May 11 at the Ministry's headquarters.

During the cordial meeting the Cuban diplomat congratulated the new minister for his appointment as head of this ministry and expressed the willingness of the Cuban government to work for the strengthening of bilateral ties in all possible
sectors, including agriculture.
