For the preservation of the thought and work of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz
At a meeting chaired by Army General Raul Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, a working group was set up to prepare proposals to create an institution for the preservation of documentary heritage, the study and dissemination of thought and the work of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
To complete the hard work, described by Raúl as of the utmost importance and which will be attended by the country's top management, some thirty experts from different specialties and representatives of various agencies, entities and institutions were invited.

The historical memory and the Latin American duty bring us once again to pay tribute to one of the most universal men, poets, thinkers, and revolutionaries: José Martí. In this occasion, we do it at the forthcoming 165th anniversary of his birth this 28 January.
Tribute to the Apostle of the Cuban Liberty, José Martí, in Vienna on the 165th anniversary of his birth
As every January, the duty to pay tribute to the most universal of Cubans and to Martí of the Americas gathered again the community of Cuban residents in Vienna, solidary friends as well as ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps of the Latin America and the Caribbean accredited to Vienna on the occasion of the 165th anniversary of the Apostle´s birth.
They offer a tribute concert to Franz Schubert in Cuba
Today, Jan 24 , Young performers of concert music in Cuba will perform today a show in homage to the renowned Austrian composer Franz Schubert, in order to celebrate the 190 anniversary of his death in 2018.

A few days ahead of the commemoration of the 165th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero Jose Martí this January 28, Cuba takes pride in being part of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). Its foundation crystallized the message of independence and unity of the region contained in Martí’s essay entitled “Our America”.
