Tribute to Che 57 years after his physical disappearance.

Vienna, October 8. The collective of the Cuban Embassy in Austria together with members of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG) and other friends of Cuba, staged a tribute to the Heroic Guerrilla, Ernesto Che Guevara on the 57th anniversary of his fall in combat.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba expresses deep concern over the unfolding events in the Middle East, driven by the aggressive policies of the State of Israel, with military, logistical, and political support from the U.S. government. These actions have led to a dangerous escalation, further undermining regional stability and security, and provoking a response from Iran.

Cuba present at the Long Night of Interculturality in Vienna.

Vienna, September 28.  Cuba and its culture were represented at the Long Night of Interculturality that takes place every year at the Vienna City Hall. 

In the main hall of the Rathaus, the World Costume Gala took place and among other 33 national costumes, the participants were able to learn and visualize the use of the Cuban guayabera and the yarey hat as representative pieces of our cultural tradition. 

Croatian magazine Epoha publishes an article against the blockade and the inclusion of Cuba on the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

Vienna, September 19, 2024. The magazine Epoha, a portal for culture, has published an article by Croatian professor Silva Knežević promoting the signing of the open letter drafted by French intellectual Ignacio Ramonet and addressed to the President of the United States, which calls for removing Cuba from the illegal list of State Sponsors of Terrorism drawn up by the U.S. State Department.
