Cuban dancers invited to perform during the 25th Anniversary of Israel Lovell Foundation

Cuban contemporary dancers, Yuleisy Linares and Yunier Hernandez, both teachers and soloists of the JJ Traditional Dance Company, participated as special guests in the artistic cultural festival organized by the Israel Lovel Foundation to celebrate its 25th Anniversary in Bridgetown during the second half of August. Their outstanding performance was highlighted by the Barbadian press having a rave review.

Cubans and Barbadians to celebrate Father's Day.

In an activity of social fellowship, animated by a musical environment, sun and beach, and the excellent ties between the people of two Caribbean islands such as Cuba and Barbados, Father's Day was celebrated in St. James between friends and relatives of the Cuban Embassy, sports coaches working in Barbados, members of the Cuban resident´s community and friends of the Barbadian solidarity organizations.

Intellectuals in Barbados to create the Caribbean Chapter - Network in Defense of Humanity.

Motivated by the challenges currently facing the humanity and the need to unite to face them effectively, a leading group of Caribbean academics and intellectuals, among which highlights the eminent Dr. George Lamming, met in Barbados to analyze the possibilities of creating the Caribbean Chapter of the existing Network in Defense of Humanity (EDH), created 11 years ago in Bolivarian Venezuela, currently represented by national chapters on different continents.

Cuban sports trainers returning to Barbados

FAO regional workshop with Cuban experts conducted in Barbados.

The sub regional representation of FAO held in Barbados a seminar-workshop three days to promote the development of the industry of cassava and other tubers in the Caribbean to which he invited Dr. Luis Ruiz Martinez and Yoel Beovides García, two experts INIVIT (Research Institute of Tropical Root Crops) Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba, who found the accumulated practices in this area and through five conferences shared the Cuban experience, in an event that served to identify several areas of collaboration for generalize good practice.
