Cuban collection increased at Queen Mother´s Library in Cambodia
Culture has been one of the fundamental milestone of interchange between Cuba and Cambodia in 60 years of bilateral cooperation. This October 20th, the Library dedicated to the Queen Mother of Cambodia, contains new documents that will be part of the documentary collection value: a DVD with the performance of the General Director of Cuban National Ballet, Viengsay Valdés, in Phnom Penh, during summer 2016.
Cambodia, Cuba expand cooperation
Cambodia and Cuba are interested in exploring new cooperation areas such as agriculture, environment and rural development, the island's Ambassador to this country, Liurka Rodriguez, said on Thursday. During a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhay Ly, we agreed that these 60 years of diplomatic relations paved the way to deepen bilateral collaboration in medicine, education, sports and expand them to areas such as those mentioned, the diplomat told Prensa Latina.
Cambodia rejects unilateral coercive measures at UN debate
In his virtual address to the Assembly, Cambodian Prime Minister, Hun Sen, said: " the voices of reason are stifled by the arbitrary practice of unilateral sanctions and other coercive political, economic and financial measures, all because of the strongest country uphold their interests above everything else".
UN Resident Coordinator in Cambodia appreciates diplomatic relationships between Cuba and the kingdom
2020 is the year that the Republic of Cuba is celebrating 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Royal Government of Cambodia, and the UN is celebrating its 75th anniversary. With these special occasions, Ms Pauline Tamesis, the UN Resident Coordinator in Cambodia and H.E. Ms Liurka Rodríguez Barrios.
