Cuban ambassador presents credentials to King of Cambodia
Liurka Rodriguez, the new Cuban ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, presented her formal credentials to HM Norodom Sihamoni. At the ceremony, the Cambodian monarch extended a greeting to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and remembered the actions of his father, Norodom Sihanouk, and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to create the basis of the historic friendship between the two nations.

The Ambassador appointed by Cuba in the Kingdom of Cambodia, Mrs. Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, presented her Copies of her Credentials to the protocol director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Phnom Penh, His Excellency, Mr. Yos Sokhemrak. In the meeting, the Cuban diplomat told about their wiliness: To make great contributions to the development of ties between Cuba and Cambodia. Sokhermrak said it was an honor to receive the Cuban representative at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and he predicted her success in the Asian country.
The Havana that they are living
Cambodians of several generations gathered to commemorate together the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana, a city that has welcomed students from different latitudes for decades, an expression of the solidarity vocation of the Cuban Revolution, despite the US blockade. The Cambodian people celebrated the 66th anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence on November 9.
