Renewal of the Cuban Passport:

In compliance with international security standards for passport issuance, the Consulate General of Cuba in Montreal began issuing Cuban passports with biometric data in December 2016. In order to register the required biometric data (photographs and fingerprints), Cuban citizens who require a new passport must appear in person at the Consulate to complete the procedure. The applicant's physical presence for the collection of biometric data is mandatory. Photographs do not need to be submitted at the Consulate when applying for renewal. This process does not affect passport extensions. For more information, click here
