Cuban Ambassador visits artisans from Choiseul.

The purpose of the visit was to assess the possible exchange of experiences between artisans from Cuba and Choiseul. Accompanied Ambassador Jorge Soberon the parliamentarian representing that district, Minister Bradly Felix. The tour took place during the celebration season of the Creole culture in Saint Lucia and allowed to verify the skill of the artisans. Craft is an activity that offers opportunities for the development of cultural relations and collaboration between the two Caribbean countries.

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute a tour of European countries

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla will start a tour of Turkey, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, and the Vatican from Thursday 15th.

During the tour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute an extensive programme of official meetings with his couenterparts and other national authorities.

Indonesia and Cuba sign Memorandum of Understanding on Health Cooperation

Geneva, May 24, 2017. The Minister of Health of Indonesia Prof. Dr. Nila F Moeloek and the Vicepresident of the Council of State of Cuba and Minister of Public Health Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Health Cooperation. The document becomes the legal basis for the realization of concrete projects that develop links in this area.

Cuban connection

The cultural exchange with Cuba and Success Laventille Secondary School has had numerous benefits, not only for the school, but for the students and nation as a whole.

It all began when the school became involved in a pilot music literacy programme supported by Pete the Panstick software where the children leaned to play the tenor pan as well as business and entrepreneur skills. 

 Success Laventille principal Hamida Baksh developed a relationship with Sanch Electronix Ltd, which provided the software, and she approached managing director Simeon Sandiford who had Cuban business connections

Jamaica media highlights regional meetings in Cuba

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, March 13th, 2017. The main media in Jamaica highlighted the Association of Caribbean States (ASC) and the Community of the Caribbean (CARICOM) meetings carried out in Havana last week.

The Observer, one of the two most important newspapers in the country, published in both the printed and digital versions, an article written by the Cuban Ambassador, Bernardo Guanche Hernandez, entitled “The Caribbean can always count on Cuba”.
