A delegation of the General Customs of the Republic of Cuba (GCR), headed by its chief, Nelson Cordovés Reyes, fulfilled a work agenda in Vietnam between November 10 and 14.
The Cuban delegation exchanged with the General Director of the Vietnam General Department of Customs, Nguyen Van Can, about the state and prospects of cooperation between the two institutions, based on the Memorandum signed in 2013.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Raúl Delgado Concepción held a meeting with the three young Mongolians selected for scholarships to study on the island as part of the cooperation program that Cuba offers annually to this Asian nation. Invited by the diplomatic misión, were present also the President of the Association of Mongolian Graduates in Cuba and several of its members.

The Chief of Operations of the Main National State of Civil Defense, William Cedeño Centeno signed this Friday, a Collaboration Agreement with the Caribbean Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) for the continuity of Cuba’s work on subjects related to disaster risk management and the strengthening of Early Warning Systems in the region.

According to the Scholarship Plan of Cuba approved for 2018, the Embassy of Cuba in Saint Lucia concluded the process of granting a total of thirteen (13) Scholarships to Saint Lucia in the specialties of Medicine, Dentistry and Post-Graduate Medical Scholarships. The selected Saint Lucian students signed the commitment to the Code of Ethics to be observed in the Cuban Higher Education Centers and received their Scholarship Files.

Canberra, 7th of December 2017. A delegation from the National Zoo of Cuba consisting of its Deputy Director Eduardo Padrón and the biologist Carlos Alberto Álvarez completed a working visit to Australia to promote cooperation with local zoos.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the possible exchange of experiences between artisans from Cuba and Choiseul. Accompanied Ambassador Jorge Soberon the parliamentarian representing that district, Minister Bradly Felix. The tour took place during the celebration season of the Creole culture in Saint Lucia and allowed to verify the skill of the artisans. Craft is an activity that offers opportunities for the development of cultural relations and collaboration between the two Caribbean countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla will start a tour of Turkey, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, and the Vatican from Thursday 15th.
During the tour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute an extensive programme of official meetings with his couenterparts and other national authorities.
