May Day from Liberia.

Monrovia, May 1st, 2020 - In the times of Covid-19, from Liberia, the collective of the Cuban Embassy in this African country celebrates May 1st wishing everyone a Happy International Workers' Day.
On a day like today in the year 2000, our unforgettable Commander in Chief Fidel Castro expounded on the concept of Revolution.
Although this day will be celebrated from our homes, we will do so by remembering the validity of his ideas.

Monrovia, May 1, 2020.- The group of Friendship Liberia-Cuba joins the collective of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia and condemns the terrorist act against the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States, meeting in Washington where there were no injuries but material damage caused by the impacts of numerous shots.

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs timely informed, around 2 o’clock today, that is, in the early hours in the morning of today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against the embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States in Washington. An unidentified individual shot at the building of the Cuban embassy in the US using an assault rifle.

Namibia, May 1st, 2020- Cubans residing in Namibia have sent the Embassy of Cuba in this capital countless messages of energetic rejection and condemnation of the terrorist aggression perpetrated against the Embassy of Cuba in the United States, demanding the immediate investigation of the facts by the North American government and the application of justice.

In the early hours of Thursday, 30April 2020, an unknown individual opened fire with an assault weapon against the building of the Embassy of Cuba in the United States.

There was no personal injury to the Mission staff, which is safe and protected, but there was material damage caused to the building resulting from the impact of the bullets.

The individual, about whose identity to the Cuban government has no information, was detained on site by local authorities and is under custody.
