Statement by the Group of friends of the UN charter, condemning the re-inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.

The Group of Friends in Defence of the UN Charter expresses its strong condemnation of the unjustified re-inclusion of Cuba on the arbitrary, illegal and unilateral ‘List of States allegedly sponsoring terrorism’, drawn up by the State Department of the United States.

Cuba reaffirms its support for the G-77 and China at the handover ceremony of the Group's Chairmanship at UNCTAD.

The Ambassador highlighted the preparation and holding of the Sixteenth Session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), to be held in Vietnam next October, as the top priority for this year's work. He emphasized that the meeting would be of significant importance for developing countries, as its outcomes will guide UNCTAD's work over the last four years of implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
