Foreign Minister affirms that Cuba prioritizes children's rights
Havana, July 2, 2020.- The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, affirmed this Thursday that the promotion and protection of the rights of children and adolescents is a priority for his country.
In his Twitter account, the chancellor referred to the fact that the island's achievements in this area are internationally recognized, including the United Nations Agencies, Funds and Programs that address these issues.
Just this week several of these organizations have alluded to the positive results of the Caribbean nation in preserving the well-being of children.
Regarding the global launch of the State of World Population 2020 report, the United Nations Population Fund (Unfpa) in Cuba highlighted that the Law protects Cuban girls from child marriage, while national reports on female genital mutilation are absent.
