Latvia reiterates its support to Cuba against the US Blockade
In an emotional virtual meeting, the Director of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, HE Ms. Inga Krastina, spoke with Ambassador Ms. Beatriz Parra González. They reviewed current issues on the bilateral agenda, provided an update on current Cuban realities based on the impact of the U.S. blockade and the national economic recovery process, and addressed the recent defamation campaigns launched by the Secretary of State against Cuban medical cooperation. The Caribbean diplomat expressed her gratitude for Latvia's historic support for Cuba in its denunciation of the blockade, supporting the vote on the resolution at the United Nations as a member state of the European Union, which her counterpart stated remains an unchanged position.
