Namibia recognizes Cuba as a symbol of sovereignty, dignity, and resistance

“The cordial bond between Namibia and Cuba is not the product of recent diplomatic convenience. Neither is it dictated by changing geopolitical interests. It is a friendship written in the shared sacrifices of our peoples, long before the dawn of Namibia’s independence,” stated President H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah during a gala dinner in solidarity with the people of Cuba, held at the Nampower Convention Centre in Windhoek.

“Cuito Cuanavale is the eternal flame that will never die”

During the First International Colloquium “Fidel: Legacy and Future”, held in Havana as part of the commemorations for the centenary of the birth of the Commander-in-Chief, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Right Hon. Dr. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare, delivered a moving speech in which he paid tribute to Fidel Castro and Cuba’s decisive role in the liberation of Southern Africa.
