Cuba appreciates the support of the SKP against the blockade

The General Secretary of the SKP, the communist party of Finland, Tiina Sandberg, was received this Monday by Ambassador Beatriz Parra González, at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in this capital. In the exchange, the diplomat updated the party leader on the national events on the Island, in particular on the strategy to confront COVID19 with the result of 3 own vaccines, immunization with three doses of these of more than 85 percent of the population and daily numbers without deaths in just over 15 days.

“One Limited Step in the Right Direction” Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.

Today, the government of the United States announced several measures, which are positive but of a very limited scope, regarding Cuba associated to the granting of visas, regular migration, flights to Cuban provinces, remittances and adjustments to the regulations governing transactions with the non-state sector. Taking into account the nature of such measures, it would be possible to identify some of the promises made by President Biden during the electoral campaign of 2020 to alleviate the inhumane decisions adopted by President Trump’s administration, which tightened the blockade to unprecedented levels and increased the “maximum pressure” policy applied ever since against our country.

From Finland and Latvia bridges of love are built against the blockade

From the Nordic cities of Helsinki, Mariehamn and Riga, Cubans residing in Finland and Latvia accompanied the world caravan against the blockade, held this Sunday in demand of this anti-Cuban policy. María Carla Roa expressed in a video broadcast on Twitter "The blockade is an act of war applied unilaterally that directly affects the Cuban people, but not only, it also affects other countries due to its extraterritorial nature. Down with the blockade against Cuba!"; while Publio López reaffirmed support for Cuba from Latvia.
