Mr. Chairman,

The delegation of Cuba is pleased to see you presiding over this meeting and extends its support to your good performance in the successful conduct of these meetings.

It also appreciates the hard work of the Secretariat in preparing the documentation and all the necessary details to hold the meetings of this important Committee.

Mr. Chairman,

The Cuban delegation endorses the statement delivered by the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of NAM.

73 UNGA: Cuba's Intervention at NAM Extraordinary Meeting on Venezuela. New York, February, 12, 2019.

Mr. Jorge Arreaza, Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs.

The delegation of Cuba welcomes you to this Extraordinary Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement.

We believe it is very timely and convenient that Venezuela, in the person of its Foreign Minister, should come to this forum, which he also presides over, to provide us with updated information on the most recent events taking place against the sister nation of Venezuela, its constitutional and legitimate President, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Civic-Military Union of his people.

73 UNGA: Statement by Cuba in the G77 High-Level Interactive Dialogue "Inclusive Development and Inequality within and among Countries". New York, 12 February 2019.

Mr. Chairman,

We thank the Delegation of Palestine, as Chair of the G77 and China, for convening this Interactive Dialogue and take this opportunity to welcome H.E. Mr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, Minister of the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction.

Mr. Chairman,

Growing inequality hinders significant and lasting progress towards the goals we set ourselves in Copenhagen. We firmly believe that development will not be sustainable as long as it is not truly inclusive.

73 UNGA: Statement by Cuba at the High-Level Event of the United Nations General Assembly to Launch the International Year of Indigenous Languages. New York, 1 February 2019.

Madam President,

Cuba, which actively participated in the process of adopting the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, similarly supported the resolutions adopted by the General Assembly at its seventy-first and seventy-third sessions concerning the proclamation of 2019 as the "International Year of Indigenous Languages".

Cuban institutions, both governmental and civil society, have conducted several national activities and actions to keep up this important effort.

73 AGNU: Statement by Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Permanent Representative of Cuba to the UN, at the Security Council. 26 January 2019.

Mr. President,

Latin America and the Caribbean is today the scenario of persisting threats, inconsistent with the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace signed by the Heads of State and Government at the Second Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States in January 2014.

73 UNGA: Reply by Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, to the statements made by the United States delegation at the Security Council meeting. New York, 26 January 2019.

Mr. President,

We have again asked for the floor to reply to the slanderous statements of United States Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Mr. Elliot Abrams, which I reiterate that we utterly reject. Both deliberately lie and ignore that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is a free, independent and sovereign nation that makes its own decisions.

73 UNGA: Statement by Mrs. Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations at the Security Council briefing on Colombia. Nueva York, 23 January 2019.

Mr. President, Dear Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic, we are pleased to see you presiding over this Council meeting.

We welcome H.E. Mr. Carlos Holmes Trujillo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, and the delegation that accompanies him.

We also welcome the presence of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, H.E. Ms. Retno Marsudi.

73 UNGA: Statement by Cuba at Security Council Quarterly Open Debate on the Situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question. New York, 22 January 2019.

Mr. President,

We endorse the statement made by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The Cuban delegation regrets that since the last open debate on this issue no progress has been made in favor of the just cause of the Palestinian people. On the contrary, the situation on the ground continues to deteriorate, with unilateral actions such as the withdrawal of financial support from the United States to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East.

73 UNGA: Statement by H.E. Ms. Ana Silvia Rodríguez Abascal, Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations and Chargé d'Affaires a.i First meeting of the Group of 77 for Ambassadors, New York, January 18, 2019.

Mr. Chairman,

We are very pleased to welcome the State of Palestine in its capacity as Chair of the Group of 77 for 2019. I assure you that it can count on Cuba's full support in said endeavor. With this chairmanship, the Group of 77 has once again recognized the activism and outstanding role of the State of Palestine as a full member of our Group as well as the inalienable rights of its people. We are convinced that under its leadership, the Group of 77 will continue to strengthen its role in promoting and defending the interests of the countries of the South.
