CUBA PRESENTS ITS BEST PRACTICES AT THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEARCH AND RESCUE ADVISORY GROUP.
Cuba participates in the Annual Meeting of the Advisory Board of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), taking place in this city and running until 28 March.
During the meeting, INSARAG’s international standards will be reviewed and updated, alongside the system’s governance policies and new guidelines and methodologies for international coordination of responses to disaster situations in countries affected by meteorological events, with a particular emphasis on earthquakes and floods.
Third Secretary Roberto Soto Martínez speaks at the dialogue with the special rapporteur on minority issues. 58th Human Rights Council.
We note with great concern the regressions in developed countries regarding minority rights, as they are increasingly left unprotected, segregated and discriminated against.
Attacks on minorities undermine tolerance, inclusion, and diversity, striking at the very essence of human rights and creating the basis for violence.
