Visit to Cuba by the Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India.

Meenakashi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India concluded today a fruitful visit to Havana, which highlighted the willingness of both countries to continue strengthening bilateral ties of friendship and cooperation, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations on January 12.

Cuba participates in the "Voice of the Global South" Summit organized by India.

Higher education is a social public good, a human and universal right and a duty of the State, affirmed Cuba's Minister of Higher Education, José Ramón Saborido, during the virtual meeting with counterparts as part of the "Voice of the Global South" Summit, organized by India. The Minister participated in the panel on education at the Summit and ratified that Cuba, as President of the Group of 77 + China, has proposed to defend universal access to inclusive, equitable and quality education as an engine for development.

Secretary of the Indian Foreign Ministry celebrated 63rd anniversary of the establishment of relations with Cuba.

The Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, held a meeting with Dammu Ravi, Secretary for Economic Relations of the Ministry of External Affairs of India. In the exchange, they highlighted the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and their development over the years, on the basis of friendship, respect, dialogue and cooperation.

Cuba participates in "Global Investors Summit 2023" in the Indian city of Indore.

The official of the Cuban Embassy in India, Abel Aballe Despaigne, participated in the 7th edition of the "Global Investment Summit 2023", held in Indore, a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The event was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and presided over by the Chief Minister of that state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. It was also attended by more than 400 representatives of international industry associations. 
 

Tribute to José Martí by the Indian Foundation "Eight Goals One".

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, together with Ramit Singh Chimni, President of the jury of the UNESCO International José Martí Prize and founder of the organization "Eight Goals One Foundation", organized a meeting at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission in Delhi on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 170th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero, José Martí.
