Minister of State of the Indian Foreign Ministry attends tribute to José Martí.

The Embassy of Cuba in India, in collaboration with the "8one Foundation", held an activity in tribute to our National Hero José Martí, on the occasion of the 127th anniversary of his fall in combat. The event took place at the International Indian Center (IIC), one of the most important cultural spaces in the city, and was attended by Meenakashi Lekhi, Minister of State of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, who in her remarks had words of praise for the universal ideals of Martí in his struggle for independence and his commitment and duty to the Homeland.

Children in India are inspired by José Martí.

More than seven hundred children, between the ages of 7 to 12 years and coming from more than one hundred schools in different states of India, were inspired by José Martí to develop their creative capacity in poems, songs and dances, through their participation in a contest that paid tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, on the occasion of the 127th anniversary of his fall in combat. The contest was organized by the Cuban Embassy and the 8one Foundation, whose co-founder Ramit Singh Chimni is a member of the jury of the UNESCO International José Martí Prize.

Cuba attended the 11th National Conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).

The International Session of the 11th National Conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), held on May 14 in the city of Calcutta, was inaugurated with the reading of the draft resolution in solidarity with Cuba and condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States on the Cuban people.
