Tribute to the Cuban National Hero in India.

In commemoration of the 129th anniversary of the fall in combat of our National Hero José Martí, the Embassy of Cuba screened the film “El Ojo del Canario” (The Eye of the Canary) by Cuban filmmaker Fernando Pérez. The film is part of the Cuban film exhibition taking place at the Cervantes Institute until June 13.

The Cuban salsa workshop organized by the Embassy of Cuba in India concludes.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in India, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute, organized a Cuban salsa workshop in New Delhi. 

More than 20 young people and students from India participated in the salsa sessions during April and May. The workshop was conducted by Cuban instructor and dancer Indira Mena Hernandez, who is temporarily based in Delhi. 

The space was propitious to strengthen the cultural ties between both peoples, through one of our popular dances of international recognition. 

From May 2 to June 13, Cuban film Festival in India.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in India, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute of New Delhi, launched a film exhibition, which will be extended from May 2 to June 13. 

The film Innocence, by filmmaker Alejandro Gil, opened the cycle of Cuban films, which includes Habanastation, El Ojo del Canario, Contigo pan y cebolla, El Mayor, Viva Cuba and Ciudad en Rojo

Cuba participates in Day E celebrations in India.

The Embassy of Cuba in India participated in the celebrations for International Book Day and Spanish Language Day, which took place at the Cervantes Institute in New Delhi.

At the inauguration of the event, which was attended by the director of the Institute Oscar Pujol, as well as Heads of Missions of the Embassies of Spanish-speaking countries; the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Abel Aballe Despaigne dedicated to those present one of the poems of our national poet Nicolás Guillén, “Song of the Bongo”.
