UN High Commissioner Urges End to U.S. Coercive Measures Against Cuba
Geneva, June 8, 2026.- The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, on Monday urged the immediate lifting of the sanctions imposed by the United States against Cuba, warning that their expansion is causing serious humanitarian consequences and endangering the lives of the Cuban people.

On June 5th and 6th, the Ambassador Juan Carlos Marsan Aguilera participated in the 3rd India-Latin America and Caribbean Business Forum 2026, organized by the Global India Business Forum (GIBF) and the government of Madhya Pradesh. Fifteen embassies and more than 250 local companies and businesses participated.

Geneva, 1 June 2026. – In the framework of the organizational meeting of the 62nd regular session of the Human Rights Council, Cuba warned of the growing threat of military aggression by the United States government, which would constitute a flagrant violation of the UN Charter, International Law and the human rights of the Cuban people.
