Indonesian boxers with a Cuban coach attended the Southeast Asian Games

Jakarta, May 22- The Indonesian National Boxing team attended the 32nd Southeast Asia Games 2023, headed by the Cuban boxing coach, Bárbaro Fernández Jiménez.

As part of the existing sports collaboration between Cuba and Indonesia, the Cuban boxing coach traveled with the Indonesian boxers to Cambodia, the host country of the event, held from May 5 to 17, and in five provinces of this Asian nation, namely: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Kampot and Kep.

Strengthening the dialogue with the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation

Jakarta, April 10th. - At the secretariat of the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation, based in this capital, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Tania Velázquez López, was received by the Executive Director of the Institute for Peace and ASEAN Reconciliation, Mr. I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged about the historical and positive relations that unite the Caribbean island with the block of ten countries that make up the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Consolidating the cooperation on multilateral issues with Indonesia

 Jakarta, April 10- At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of Development, Economic and Environmental Affairs, Tri Purnajaya, received the Ambassador of Cuba in Indonesia, Tania Velázquez López.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged about the historical cooperation between Cuba and Indonesia in multilateral matters, mainly within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, of which both Indonesia and Cuba have been historical leaders, in support of the Cuban Resolution against the blockade and in the matter of candidacies.
