Esteemed President Ilham Aliyev,
Distinguished Heads of State and Government,
I thank Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement, for calling to this meeting to exchange on the urgent and needed efforts which allow us to face COVID-19.
I avail myself of this occasion to congratulate Uganda, which shall assume the NAM Chairmanship in the year of 2022. While assuring it Cuba´s full support, we wish Uganda success in the performance of such duty.

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs timely informed, around 2 o’clock today, that is, in the early hours in the morning of today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against the embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States in Washington. An unidentified individual shot at the building of the Cuban embassy in the US using an assault rifle.
Cuba’s Improbable Medical Prowess in Asia
Cuba is developing a foothold in Asia with its biotechnology. COVID-19 is likely to expand that cooperation still further.

Indonesia media on Cuban medicine fight against COVID-19
Yakarta, 14 de abril- Desde la detección de los primeros casos de COVID-19 en Cuba, la estrategia de gestión de la pandemia de la isla, así como su actitud de solidaridad con otros países afectados, ha ocupado varios espacios en los medios de comunicación de Indonesia.
La estación "Metro TV" cubrió la operación de rescate de los pasajeros del crucero británico MS Breamar en su programa "Noticias Metro". El informe destacó el gesto de Cuba de dar la bienvenida al barco con pacientes positivos para COVID-19 a bordo, que habían sido rechazados por varios puertos del Caribe.
