Indonesia seeks to expand economic ties with Latin America

Jakarta, December 5th  - Cuba took part in the “Policy dialogue on  enhancing Indonesia and Latin America and the Caribbean relations” that was convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia on December 3rd and 4th. Representatives  from the Embassies of the Latin American and Caribbean countries accredited in Jakarta participated, as well as from the Ministry of Commerce of Indonesia and of state-owned companies in the transport, aviation and naval industry sectors.

Cuba seeks business opportunities with Indonesia

Cuba participated in the first Indonesia - Latin America Business Forum (INA-LAC Forum), held on October 14 and 15 in Tangerang, Indonesia. The Caribbean island was represented by the company Labiofam Asia S.A and the Embassy of Cuba in Indonesia.

The event was attended by around 200 representatives of Indonesian companies and countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Forum was opened by the Indonesian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdurrachman M. Fachir.

The Cuban Embassy in Indonesia inaugurated a photographic exhibition commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Che's visit to Indonesia, at the headquarters of the National Library of Indonesia.

The graphic sample has materials from the archives of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the collection “Life and Work of Ernesto Che Guevara: from the original manuscripts of adolescence and youth to the Campaign Journal in Bolivia” of the Che Guevara Center, registered in the UNESCO World Register of Memory of the World program.

Cuban music to celebrate visit of Che Guevara to Indonesia

Jakarta, September 26th - The young Cuban pianist Lianne Vega Serrano gave a concert at the Auditorium of the National Library of Indonesia this Thursday, September 26th . With this presentation, the Cuban Embassy in Indonesia commemorated the 60th Anniversary of Che's visit to the Southwest Asian nation.

The evening program included interpretation of Argentine pieces, Cuban classics, as well as a selection of works by the Indonesian composer Jaya Suprana, whose Foundation sponsored the trip Lianne Vega to Jakarta.

Cuban pianist will perform in Jakarta

Jakarta,  September 9th- Cuban pianist Lianne Vega Serrano will offer a concert next September 26th at the Auditorium of the National Library of Indonesia, thanks to an invitation from the Jaya Suprana School of Performance Arts.

The presentation will be dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the visit of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara to Indonesia, which marked the beginning of the process of establishing diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Cuba.
