There are many reasons to extend cordial congratulations to you today on International Women's Day.

WOMEN, despite the progress made in gender equality, has had a double duty: their work, family care and at least a good part of the housework.

Dublin, March 1, 2021. The Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, held a virtual working meeting with Ambassador James McIntyre, director for Latin America and the Caribbean of the local Foreign Ministry, and Stephen Barry, deputy director.

The videoconference that took place in the friendly atmosphere that characterizes relations between the two countries was the scene to promote a fruitful exchange on various matters of bilateral interest and within the framework of relations between Cuba and the European Union.

Mr. President;

The world’s situation is ever more dangerous and challenging. Now more than ever before, the very survival of the human species is at stake. International peace and security are being threatened by conflicts; predatory and non-conventional wars; acts of aggression and regime change attempts; and an arms race that is dilapidating enormous resources that are indispensable for the sustainable development of our peoples.
