Solidarity with Cuba in Belfast pays tribute to the Cuban hero Fernando Gonzalez Llort.
Belfast, June 22, 2018. Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples concluded his activities in Belfast with a meeting with representatives of the organizations of solidarity with Cuba, the meeting was chaired by Jackie Pollock, member of the executive of the "Irish Congress of Trade Unions" and Regional Secretary of UNITE.
The Cuban hero Fernando González visited sites that remember the victims of the conflict in Northern Ireland.
Belfast, June 22, 2018. During his visit to Belfast Fernando González Llort had the opportunity to visit various places that perpetuate the memory of fallen republicans and numerous civilian victims of conflicts in Northern Ireland, also erected as monuments to peace that families and new generations strive to consolidate and preserve.
Fernando Gonzalez holds a meeting in Belfast with leaders and activists of the Sinn Féin party.

After the courtesy visit to the Mayor of Belfast, Fernando had the opportunity to make a brief tour of the city where he was shown the physical limits that were imposed in the past and that delimited the neighborhoods between Catholics and Protestants, between unionists and republicans, as well as scenarios of confrontations and authoritarian repressions.

Belfast, June 22, 2018. On his arrival in Belfast, Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, was received by Deirdre Hargey, Mayor of the city, who welcomed him to the historic city, second in importance of the island.
Fernando had the opportunity to visit the Palace headquarters of the Mayor's Office and learn about the history of the city, its people and this particular building.

The “Liberty Hall”, historical headquarters of the SIPTU union was the scene chosen for the realization of a fraternal meeting of Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, with Irish personalities and organizations in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution.
