Statement on the Reversal of the Executive Order of the President of the United States to Remove Cuba from the List of Sponsors of International Terrorism
The Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica Mayor General Antonio Maceo, condemns the reinstatement by executive order of President Donald Trump, of the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that promote international terrorism, reversing the executive order issued by former President Joe Biden; which, as Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez pointed out, demonstrates that the list is nothing more than an instrument of political coercion against countries that do not obey the dictates of the empire, and has no legal or moral validity.

Cuba rejects the decision announced by the President of the United States to use the Guantanamo Naval Base to imprison tens of thousands of migrants he has proposed to forcibly expel. It is a demonstration of the brutality with which that government is acting to supposedly correct problems created by the economic and social conditions of that country, the government's own management and its foreign policy, including hostility towards countries of origin.

Following Marti's maxim of ‘ to honour, honour’, members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica ‘Antonio Maceo’ (ACRJ), of the medical and educational brigades, and the Cuban diplomatic mission gathered at the Cuban Embassy to commemorate the 172nd anniversary of the birth of our National Hero José Martí. José Antonio Sánchez Vega, Chargé d'Affaires of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, accompanied the event.
