President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association defines blockade of Cuba as the worst violation of Human Rights.

Monrovia, April 8, 2022 – In a meeting held with Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, the president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group, Kesselee King Kanneh, today condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years, which he defined as the worst violation of Human Rights. He also ratified his rejection of this inhuman policy and denounced its extraterritorial character.

Cuban Head of Mission holds meeting with Liberian Minister of Justice.

Monrovia, March 18, 2022 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a fraternal exchange with the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Republic of Liberia, Mr. Frank Musa Dean.

During the meeting the two exchanged on bilateral relations between the two countries. Current international issues were also discussed.

Cuban Embassy in Monrovia receives Assistant Minister of American Affairs of the Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Monrovia, March 17, 2022 - In the morning hours, the Assistant Minister of American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Hon. Maxwell P. Vah visited the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia, being received by its Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

It was a fruitful meeting in which topics of interest of the bilateral agenda were discussed and in which both parties expressed their willingness to continue strengthening the ties that unite Cuba and Liberia.

Cuban Head of Mission holds meeting with Deputy Minister a.i. of International Cooperation of the Liberian Foreign Ministry.

Monrovia, March 14, 2022 - This morning, the Head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, received at the diplomatic headquarters of that country in Monrovia the deputy minister a.i. of International Cooperation and Economic Integration, Honorable Dave Kountu.

During the exchange, issues of bilateral interest were discussed.

Cuban Head of Mission attends to the kick-off workshop of the "Dividends of Peace" project in Liberia.

Monrovia, March 9, 2022 - Invited as a member of the diplomatic corps accredited in Liberia, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the kick-off workshop of the project on "The Delivery of Peace Dividends in Liberia: Consolidating national, regional and local reconciliation and opportunities for social cohesion".

Cuban Head of Mission participates in the opening ceremony of the First Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS 2022 Parliament.

Monrovia, March 8, 2022 - In the morning hours, the Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera participated, together with members of the diplomatic corps and parliamentarians of the African country, in the Opening Ceremony of the First Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament for the year 2022.

The event took place at the Ministerial Complex in Monrovia, capital of the Republic of Liberia.

Head of Mission of Cuba in Liberia holds cordial exchange with official of the International Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Monrovia, February 28, 2022 - Received at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia by its Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, Mr. David Kountu, official of the Division of International Cooperation and Economic Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia was the bearer of a message from the Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both diplomats had the opportunity to exchange on Liberians who are studying medicine in Cuba and also discussed bilateral issues of interest to both nations.

Cuban Head of Mission invited to the 71st Anniversary of the University of Liberia.

Monrovia, February 21, 2022 - At the invitation of the President of the University of Liberia, Professor Dr. Julius J.S. Nelson, Jr., the Cuban Head of Mission in the African country Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the celebration of the 71st Anniversary of the main state university of that nation and one of the oldest in West Africa.

The academic event framed within the celebration of Liberia's Bicentennial was attended by national and international speakers who had studied at the prestigious university.
