Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association issues statement condemning provocative acts.

Monrovia, July 19, 2021 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship group expressed its support for the people and government of Cuba at a time when attempts to strangle and destabilize the Cuban revolution are on the rise.

It condemned the riots that took place on July 11 as a result of an intense political operation financed by Washington to create instability in Cuba at a time of difficult conditions caused by COVID-19 and the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade.

Head of the Cuban mission in Liberia holds fruitful meeting with the president of the Friendship Association.

Monrovia, July 19, 2021 - With the conviction that solidarity crosses walls, the Head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, held a productive and warm meeting with the president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association Kesselee King Kanneh.

During the exchange, full support was expressed for the Cuban Revolution and advocated for the self-determination of peoples and the peaceful solution of any contradiction; in favor of the sovereignty, defense and security of Cuba.

Monrovia, July 2, 2021 - Organized by the Angie Brooks International Center for Women's Empowerment, Leadership Development, International Peace and Security, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez participated together with Liberian Minister of Youth and Sports Dester Zeogar Wilson, in the award ceremony of winning youth projects from different communities.

Cuban head of mission holds meeting with Liberian Foreign Ministry's Assistant Minister for American Affairs.

Monrovia, June 30, 2021 - Cuban head of mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a working meeting at the Cuban Embassy in this West African country with the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, Assistant Minister of the Liberian Foreign Ministry for American Affairs.

In a friendly atmosphere, topics of interest to both countries were discussed.

Both diplomats reviewed the state of relations between the two countries and agreed on the interest to continue deepening them.

Monrovia, June 28, 2021 - Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held an interesting and pleasant meeting with Counselor Dr. Yvette Chesson-Wureh, Coordinator of the Liberia-based Angie Brooks International Center for Women's Empowerment, Leadership Development, International Peace and Security.

The two exchanged on working with youth in their respective countries and the need to integrate young Liberians into society to ensure the country's future.

Congratulatory messages are sent to the Cuban Embassy in Liberia on the results of the vote at the United Nations.

Monrovia, June 24, 2021 - Since early this morning, our diplomatic mission in Monrovia has been receiving congratulatory messages from friends of Cuba and connoisseurs of the Cuban reality.

Through telephone calls, messages and letters, they congratulate Cuba for the results obtained yesterday in the vote on the Cuban draft resolution: "Necessity of putting an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba".

Monrovia, June 23, 2021 - The "Daily Observer" newspaper, one of the most widely read Liberian newspapers in the country, published an extensive and positive article on the vote that will take place today at the United Nations on the Cuban Resolution against the U.S. Blockade.

The article develops the topic based on an interview made yesterday to the head of the Cuban Mission in that West African country Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera where she exposed the losses caused to her country and the damages caused to the Cuban people.

Monrovia, June 22, 2021 - A few hours before the vote at the United Nations, the Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera made statements to friends of Cuba and the media condemning and repudiating the U.S. blockade of the largest of the Antilles.

The Cuban diplomat explained the arguments of the denunciation against the blockade that the Cuban government will present tomorrow before the United Nations General Assembly.

Monrovia, June 21, 2021 - As a sign of the solidarity that unites them with the Cuban people, members of the Liberia-Cuba friendship group sent a statement condemning the economic and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

They underline in their letter that the blockade contradicts the basic principles of international dialogue and the tendencies towards the formation of a multipolar world, which should be based on the equality and sovereignty of the peoples.
