I bring to this Assembly the voice of the South, that of the “exploited and humiliated” to quote Che Guevara in this very room almost 60 years ago.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs receives Cuban Head of Mission.
Monrovia, September 18, 2023 - In the morning hours, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, Mrs. Deweh Gray, received the Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country.
During the exchange, which took place in a fraternal atmosphere, issues of multilateral and bilateral interest were reviewed, as well as relevant aspects of the regional political agenda.

The strength of the South is in Havana.
Havana, September 15 - The Cuban capital is today, and until tomorrow, the epicenter of multilateral dialogue and the demand for equal access to development, with the celebration of the G77 and China Summit, a defining event for the future of the peoples of the South.
Building a fairer relationship and a truly democratic and inclusive order that privileges international solidarity is a common purpose of developing countries.
Group of 77 and China: the urgency of unity.
Convened by Cuba, as Chairman of the Group of 77 and China, the Summit of Heads of State and Government will be held in Havana on September 15 and 16 to discuss the theme "Current Development Challenges: The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation".
In 1964, Third World countries decided to join together to promote common positions in the world economy. Since then, pressing problems were identified for the underdeveloped nations that demanded, as they still do, the right to economic and social development.
