U.S.-based vigil to demand end of hostilities against Cuba

Solidarity organizations and friends of Cuba will go to the city of Miami, Florida, today to participate in a vigil demanding that U.S. President Joe Biden end coercive measures against the island.

Gathered at the international airport of that city, from 18:30 to 20:30 local time, the activists will urge the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than six decades by Washington, which is considered a massive violation of the human rights of the Cuban people.

The world says No for the thirtieth time to the Blockade against Cuba.

Port of Spain, November 3, 2022. The group of the Embassy of #Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago also raised its voice along with other voices from around the world, demanding the lifting of the US blockade against Cuba.

With pride and care we follow step by step the arguments exposed by our foreign minister in the text of the presentation of the new resolution of Cuba against the blockade.

We stand wiht the world, UN Vote 4 Cuba!

With a broad program of activities, the National Network of Solidarity with Cuba in the United States has called for a day against the blockade on the occasion of the presentation and voting on November 2 and 3 before the United Nations of the resolution "Necessity of putting an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba".

How little the United States respects the world by maintaining the blockade against Cuba!

The First Secretary of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, recalled on Twitter that it has been 30 years since Cuba presented to the UN the detailed report on the crime that the US blockade against the island constitutes.

"The General Assembly condemns it almost unanimously. And the blockade is being strengthened. How little the United States respects the international community. How little it respects the rest of the world", the Head of State pointed out.

There is no silence in the denunciation against the U.S. blockade.

Just by wielding the universal consensus that, in the United Nations tribune, and for three decades, has expressed the absolute rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government against Cuba, the new voices that constantly add to that demand would seem to defend a reason that has become a truism.

However, so great is the injustice, and so colossal the genocide, that every day more and more people are raising a flag against the hostile and anachronistic policy of the largest empire on the planet.

Defending the Cuban identity is not difficult if it is done with the truth

With the desire to reconnect with his roots, to visit what he considers his home, the outstanding Cuban pianist, Nachito Herrera, went to the Cuban Embassy in the United States, in the framework of the National Culture Day.

The musician thanked for the invitation and said that it was a great pleasure for him to celebrate this day. At the same time, he stressed that from anywhere in the world he feels proud to be Cuban.

The blockade of Cuba is also a blockade of the U.S. business community.

For Vicente Amor, vice president of the company asc Internacional USA, a Tampa-based travel agency, the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba more than 60 years ago -rekindled during the administration of Donald Trump, with measures maintained, for the most part, by current President Joe Biden-, is a serious obstacle for business ties between the two countries.
