Cuban ambassador participates in ceremony for the end of Ramadan in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, April 10.- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, attended this Wednesday, April 10, the ceremony for the end of Ramadan, Aidilfitri, held at the Istana Negara National Palace, and presided over by His Majesty the Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, with his wife Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, was also present at the ceremony, and he spoke with the ambassadors and heads of mission present at the important traditional celebration.

Rueda de Casino brings Cuban music to Malaysia

As part of the International Rueda de Casino Flash Mob, 19 dance couples gathered in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, to show their love for casino and salsa.

This Rueda de Casino took place at the National Botanical Garden of Malaysia, Perdana Botanical Garden, and was organized by dance instructors Andrew Sureshkumar and Sherilyn Foo.

Among the dancers was the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, who said he was very proud that one of the manifestations of popular dance in Cuba, the Rueda de Casino, has become an experience of international reach.

Inter-Regional Business Forum between Latin America and ASEAN countries took place in Malaysia

This weekend the Inter Regional Business Forum 2024 took place in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, with the theme "Empowering Raletions between Latin American-The Caribbean and Southeast Asian Countries".
Among the participants from nine Latin American countries, the Cuban panelist, Manuel Cumbrado Muñiz, Vice Director of the Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment in Cuba, ProCuba, stood out.

Latin American Film Festival will take place in the Malaysian state of Sarawak

Following a visit by Latin American ambassadors to Kuching, it was decided that the Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) will be held for the first time this year in that city, capital of the State of Sarawak, Malaysia.

The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, highlighted that the festival will be the first step of cooperation in the exchange of projects between Sarawak and Latin American countries.
