Cuban Ambassador Attends Exchange with Liberian Police Inspector General.

The Inspector General of Police in Liberia, Honorable Gregory O. W. Coleman, held an exchange with the diplomatic corps accredited in Monrovia, which was also attended by Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Argüelles.

The Honorable Mr. Coleman outlined the main activities carried out by law enforcement in the country, the most common crimes, and the sustained progress in controlling violence. He also answered questions about the exercise of justice in the country.

The Honorable Mr. Wilmot J.M. Paye received the Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, to whom he reiterated Liberia's unwavering and sustained support for Cuba in its fight against the U.S. economic, commercial, and financial blockade. At the same time, the Ambassador emphasized Cuba's determination to promote cooperative ties with the African nation.

The Cuban diplomat offered the visitors an update on the situation in Cuba, with emphasis on the country's post-Covid recovery and the harmful effects of the US government's blockade and imperialist aggression against the Cuban people.

Kingston, Jamaica, 21 April 2022. Yesterday afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones paid a courtesy visit to the honorable Edmund Bartlett, parliamentarian and Minister of Tourism of Jamaica.

Both parties agreed that tourism has faced severe challenges in recent years, as a result of climate change and more recently Covid 19, and highlighted the importance of building a sustainable and resilient tourism product, based on the natural and cultural strengths of each country.
